SBI Internet Banking  : Netbanking is such a service with the help of which you get all the facilities sitting at home without going to the bank. There are no lengthy lines to wait in at the bank. All the services provided by the bank are available in netbanking like checking A/C Balance, applying for cheque/passbook, applying Credit/Debit Card etc. Internet banking, sometimes known as online banking, e-banking or virtual banking, is a type of electronic payment system that allows customers of banks to conduct various financial transactions from other financial institutions through the financial institution’s website. The main role of NetBanking is to make all the services of the bank paperless i.e. to bring all the services on digital mode and to deliver those services to the customer’s home.

SBI Internet Banking : New User Registration Process

• Visit the official website and click on “New User Registration”. You can go to the direct registration portal by clicking here – https://www.onlinesbi.sbi/

• A pop-up will open, click on “Next“.

• After that enter Account Number, CIF number, Branch code, Country, Bank Registered Mobile number, select full transition rights from Drop-down, enter “Captcha” and click on “Submit” button.

• You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number, type it here and click on “Confirm“.

• After this select your “Active ATM Card” and click on “Confirm”.

(You will get two options, if you have ATM CARD then you will select the first option “I have my ATM Card” or If you do not have an ATM card then you can choose “I don’t have my ATM Card” option and will have to go to the bank and submit the registration form.)

• All your ATM cards will be shown, select the Active ATM card and click on “Confirm”.

• Then give the ATM card details such as Card Holder Name, Expiry Date, ATM PIN. Enter “Captcha” and click on “Proceed“.

• Here your debit card validation will be successful, you do not have to do anything, just wait.

• A page will open for you to create a “Username and Password”, tick the “Checkbox” and click on “Submit”.

(Username should be  minimum 8 and maximum 20 character, Username should be a combination of letters and numbers like “Akash12345” and Password should also be a combination of letters, numbers and symbols like “Akash@12345“.)

• Your Internet Banking will be successfully registered, then click on “Close“

SBI Internet Banking : First Time Login

• Visit the link – https://retail.onlinesbi.sbi/
• Then click on “Login”,

• Again click “Continue to Login” .

• Enter “Username & Password“, “CAPTCHA” and click on “Login“, (Username and password were set during registration)

• Enter the “OTP“. (An OTP will come on your registered mobile number, if OTP is not received then click on “Resend OTP”)

• set a “Profile Password”, select “Hint Question“, enter “Hint Answer“, enter “DOB” or “Place of Birth” and then “Submit“. (The profile password will also be the same as the login password but should not be the same.)

• Your internet banking registration is completely Successful. Then click “Go to Account Summary Page“. (Now you can fully use your SBI Internet Banking)

SBI Net Banking : Reset Username and Password

If you have an SBI account and use Internet Banking or Mobile Banking. If you accidentally forget your username or password then, How can you reset your password and create a new username or password? I have told you about it here.

To reset your sbi internet banking new user registration username or password, just follow the steps given below.

        a. Reset forgotten username

• Go to this link – https://retail.onlinesbi.sbi/retail/login.htm
• Click  “Continue to Login” button.

• After this you click on “Forgot Username/Login Password”.

• Choose on “Forgot Username” and click on “Next“.

• On the next page, fill your CIF number, Country, Registered mobile number, Captcha and click on “Next“. (CIF number will be found on the first page of your passbook)

• Enter the “OTP” and click “Confirm“. (An OTP will come on your registered mobile)

• As soon as you click on confirm, your username will be sent by SMS to your registered mobile and will be available simultaneously on your screen.

• Finally your new login username will be set Successfully. You can now login by entering your new username and password.

        b. Reset forgotten Password

• You need to follow the same process as you set up a username. you can directly click on this link – https://retail.onlinesbi.sbi/retail/login.htm
• Then click on “Continue to Login” button.

• Click on “Forgot Username/Login Password”.

• Next, you need to select “Forgot My Login Password” and then “Next”.

• On the next page enter your username(The username that you reset), account number, country, registered mobile number, date of birth or captcha and click “Submit”.

• Enter the “OTP” here and click on “Confirm”. (an OTP will come on your registered mobile number)

• After this you will get 3 options to reset. Choose the first one “Using ATM Card Details“. You can choose any of these three options.

• After that all the ATM cards will be shown to you, select the “Active Card” and click on “Submit”.

• Card details will be asked on the next page, enter the card details and captcha, just click on “Proceed“.

• Here your debit card validation will be successful, you do not have to do anything, just wait.

• The page for set a new password will open. Enter the “New Password”, again “re-enter” the password and click on submit.

• Finally your new login password will be set successfully. Just go back, you can now login by entering your username and password.

1. What is the Difference between Internet banking & mobile banking?

Answer. Internet banking and mobile banking are almost similar. Some services are not available in mobile banking which are provided in internet banking. You can login to Internet Banking anywhere on mobile, PC or computer, but you can login to Mobile Banking only on the mobile on which you have your registered mobile number.
