Staff Selection Commission(SSC) has recently released a notification for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ post. Its online application has started and its last date is 17 Aug 2024. Any candidate who wants to apply should apply soon before 17th Aug 2024. The recruitment process will be conducted in a phased manner, here candidates will be selected through the process of Preliminary Examination, Written Examination, followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Document Verification. Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria

- Applicant must have passed 12th from a recognized board/university
Age Limit (as on 01.08.2024) & Age Relaxation:
- Minimum Age – 18 Years
- Maximum Age – 27 Years for Group D and 30 Years for Group C

SSC Stenographer Vacancy 2024 : Selection Process

CBT – Computer Based Test
(Minimum qualifying marks in CBT – UR:30%, OBC/EWS:25%, All Other Categories: 20%)

PDV – Physical Document Verification
- 50 questions and 50 marks in the general intelligence and reasoning test
- General Awareness – 50 Questions and 50 Marks
- 100 questions and 100 marks in English language and comprehension

The exam will solely include multiple-choice questions of the objective type. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Computer Based Examination.
